North Florida Archers Meeting Minutes

February 6, 2024

  • The regular monthly club meeting of North Florida Archers was called to order at 6:01pm by Butch White, Club President
  • REVIEW OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING MINUTES
    • The minutes for the previous meeting was reviewed by Jeremy Hall, Club Treasurer and accepted.
  • REVIEW OF TREASURER’S REPORT
    • The Treasurer’s report was reviewed by Jeremy Hall, Club Treasurer and accepted.
  • OLD BUSINESS OR OPEN ISSUES
    • Membership coordinator update- Meghan Harrison has accepted the appointed position. All new supplies have been purchased so that applications can be processed, and new member packets sent out.
    • Jeremy Hall is still waiting for a response from the IRS.
  • NEW BUSINESS
    • ASA Targets – The club had previously approved a budget of $5000 for purchase of 4 new targets and 4 core replacements for the 2 new targets for 2024. The total for these new targets would be $2000. A motion was made by Jeremy Hall to purchase an entire range (20 targets +20 new replacement cores) for the cost of $5700. Motion was passed and Jeremy will call the ASA office to complete the purchase.
    • Rinehart Targets- Butch has spoked to Bradley at Arrows Unlimited to receive a quote for 5 new backyard Rinehart for the traditional walk around. Justin Connelly made a motion for the approval of the purchase, and it passed.
    • Monthly Shoot Format- With both compound and traditional being on the same day it was discussed to have a thirty (30) target tournament, made up of two (2) ,fifteen (15) target ranges. There will be no mandatory break between ranges but a mandatory end time of 2:00pm (unless otherwise stated at the safety meeting). The cost would remain $20 for payback classes and $10 for recreational shooters. Compound will follow ASA rules and regulations, while traditional classes will follow IBO scoring with North Florida Archers (NFA) traditional classes.
    • Jerseys have arrived.
  • Motion to adjourn the meeting was made at 6:41 pm and carried.
