The regular monthly club meeting of North Florida
Archers was called to order at 5:57 pm by Butch White, Club President
- REVIEW OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING MINUTES
The minutes for the previous
meeting were reviewed by Debbie Allen, Club Treasurer and accepted.
- REVIEW OF TREASURER’S REPORT
The Treasurer’s report was reviewed by Debbie
Allen, Club Treasurer and accepted.
- OLD BUSINESS OR OPEN ISSUES
Compound Championship Shoot held in August was
successful. The club profited around $400.
- NEW BUSINESS
Ethical Shoot is coming up on October 9, 2021
Extreme Shoot is coming up on November 13, 2021
Discussion to possibly hold a Field Shoot on December
18, 2021
Discussed the possibility to continue the Tuesday
night shoots. Suggestion was made to put on FaceBook and take a poll on
who’s interested in a Tuesday night fun shoot only. Cost would be $5
for 10 targets; no pay out.
The by-law change that was brought up in the July
meeting needs a vote. Proposal to add 3 new positions to the list of
officers: Social Media Director, Tournament Director and Webmaster.
Motion was made and proposal passed. This proposal will be added to the
Web Page and voted on in the October meeting.
Proposal made to move monthly meetings to Tuesday
nights all year permanently. Butch opened this topic for discussion.
Comments made regarding how late meetings run after Tuesday night shoot.

Proposal made to change Shooter of the Year rules.
Changes will include: Tuesday night shoot scores will not be included, 7
monthly club shoot scores will be included, lowest score from monthly
shoots will be dropped and Championship shoot
score added. Motion was made and proposal passed.
Proposal was made to sell Mulligan shot instead of
giving a free shot. This would be for Monthly club shoots and the cost
for a Mulligan shot would be $2 per person. There will be no change to
the Tuesday night Mulligan shot. Motion was made and proposal passed.
Shooter of the year winners: Abby Williams-Women’s
Compound, Justin Connally-Men’s Traditional, Don Delong-Men’s
Compound, Debbie Lowe-Women’s Longbow, Debbie Allen-Women’s
Primitive
Mike Shea made a suggestion to have another work day
to fix foot bridge on the Traditional range. Date should be determined
and put on the website and FaceBook to ask for volunteers. It was
discussed that the foot bridge could be removed and trail re-routed
through the bamboo (panda target site). This would save the club some
time and money. Discussed the possibility of closing the bridge due to
safety issues next week.
Josh Cagle will be moving to Utah on January 1st,
2022. He will need to be replaced on the Board.
Horsecreek Archery will be hosting their annual shoot
this weekend.
The club Christmas party cannot take place at NAS
again this year due to COVID restrictions. Discussed having the party at
the club on December 4th. More to come on this matter.
Discussed the need to order target foam for the front
bales for the upcoming work day in January 2022.
Motion to adjourn meeting was made at 7:03 pm and
carried.
