Charles Laughlin presented the treasurer’s report. Report was approved as read Jim Parsons read minutes of the July 6, 2011 meeting. Minutes were approved as read. Details for the Extreme Shoot cookout have been finalized. We will have smoked chicken, beans, chips. Side dishes to be provided by members. The cookout will be free to club members, $5/plate to non-members. The laminated tree stand signs are still on order. They will be been installed ASAP John Guttry announced he has purchased a total of 15 of the ASA targets 12 will be for the walking range, 3 are for tournament shoots.
Club members are reminded the Red riding mower is only to be used in cleared areas like the line range are edge of road areas. All trail clearing in the woods is to be done with the old gray Craftsman mower. Details and target planning for the annual extreme shoot was discussed. Billy Loudermilk also commented additional cleanup needs to be done since there has been considerable wind damage and downed trees from recent storms. Phil Wyrick commented additional volunteers for the next two shoot would be greatly appreciated. Phil Wyrick the club have an additional clean-up day other the traditional 'work day' day each January. No decision was made. Club members are reminded to take care of their own trash. "If you pack it in, pack it out". Charlie Nelson commented a Girl Scout archery outing is tentatively scheduled for Aug 9, 2011 however the firm date have been finalized. Charlie Nelson briefly discussed details for the Christmas party. Date is yet to be confirmed. The cost of the Christmas party dinner was finalized as follows. Free to children under 8 years old, $12/plate for all others. The August club meeting was the last regular club meeting of the year. A special "Christmas party" meeting will be held Nov 2, 2011. Billy Loudermilk thanked everyone for making the Tues "Working Mans" shoot a success. He planes to continue the shoot next year and said he may start earlier in the season next year.
