The regular monthly club meeting of North Florida Archers was called to order at on May 4, 2021 by Butch White, Club President The minutes for the previous meeting were reviewed by Michael Chesser, Chairman of the Board and accepted. The Treasurer’s report was reviewed by Debbie Allen, Club Treasurer and accepted. Butch reported that the Traditional Rendezvous was a
success. The club Butch discussed new rules for scoring for future big shoots. There will be 4 people required in a group with 2 scorekeepers. Scorekeepers will walk to the target while one person calls out scores and pulls arrows another person will observe and confirm scores. ASA Qualifier will be held on May 29th. Volunteers are needed. Club members are being asked to park in the camping area during this event. Upcoming May Monthly shoots will consist of 30 targets to prepare for ASA qualifier. Club Memberships have consistently increased. At the end of 2020 club membership was at 461 members. So far in 2021 we are at 195 new members. Membership is projected to be at 525 by the end of the year. Discussed walk around ranges; they are all in good shape. Improvements to the Traditional walk around range targets are planned. There will be a Club Work Day on June 6th. Plans to work on the Field Course and the Target Bales. There is another Introduction to Archery class planned for June 6th. Chairman of the Board, Mike Chesser expressed that the Club is in good financial status. He also expressed the great job being done by the Club Officers and Volunteers. We will be hosting the Traditional and Compound Championship Shoots later in the year. The dates for these shoots are pending. Discussed building a Tuning walk back lane on the walk around course. Justin will be working on determining a location.
