The regular monthly club meeting of North Florida Archers was called to order at 7:15pm by Butch White, Club President

    1. REVIEW OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING MINUTES
    2. The minutes for the previous meeting were reviewed by Debbie Lowe, Club Secretary and accepted.

    3. REVIEW OF TREASURER’S REPORT
    4. The Treasurer’s report was reviewed by Debbie Allen, Club Treasurer and accepted.

    5. OLD BUSINESS OR OPEN ISSUES

Traditional Rendezvous will be held at the club on April 22-24th. Volunteers are needed; a sign-up sheet is available for those interested.

Wounded Warriors event is planned for May 25th from 4-6 pm. Volunteers are needed to help with instruction (2 traditional and 2-3 compound shooters). Mike Shea made a motion to hold this event; voted on and passed.

2 new ASA targets were purchased and were picked up by Mike Shea.

IBO Shoot that was held in March was a success. We had more shooters this year than last year. Much appreciation to all who volunteered.

The bid proposal for the club property was put together by Bob Keaton’s uncle and submitted to the City. NFA was the only bid submitted. If the bid is approved by the City, we will secure the property for 13 more years.

The proposal for the placement of an electric gate at the club entrance will be revisited after the club’s major expenses are paid.

The club has plans to buy some additional Reinhart targets after club’s major expenses are paid.

The plan for the Traditional Rendezvous is to use TBOF scoring (X, 5, 10) for the Championship rounds. On the Tom Swift Challenge and Novelty courses, TAS scoring will be used. All score cards for the Championship round will need to be turned in by Noon on Sunday. There will be 30 targets for the Championship round instead of the usual 40 targets, in an effort to encourage more people to shoot multiple rounds. There will be an additional Fun/Practice range set up this year.

Monthly shoots for April are coming up this weekend, 4/9 and 4/10. Our Traditional monthly shoots are experiencing low turn-out. The Compound monthly shoot numbers are up and increasing. The effort to draw more Compound shooters and members has paid off. We need a concentrated effort to draw more Traditional shooters.

Motion to adjourn meeting was made at 7:39 pm and carried.
