Minutes of North Florida Archers: August 6, 2008

Meeting was opened at 6 pm with the Pledge of Allegiance and a moment of silence for our troops.

Treasurer Hank Gaspari read the treasurer’s report. The treasury report was approved as read.

Secretary Dan Makely read minutes of the previous meeting. No changes noted.

New business included:

Club shirts: The price for the new club shirts has been reduced to $21.00. The order for shirts will be placed Monday, August 11, 2008

Extreme Shoot: Shoot will be Sunday August 3, 2008. Members are encouraged to help with set-up on Saturday. The club will provide lunch after the shoot.

Signs Needed: The members present agreed to look into pricing for some new club signage

Locks & Storage doors: All present were reminded that the storage shed and other locked areas must be locked at all times.

Website: It was agreed that the website needs a new Webmaster. A suggestion was made to hire it done outside of the club. Jim Parsons volunteered to take the position.

4H Club: The club plans to host some youth group outings on weekdays. Club members are encouraged to volunteer their help. Please contact Charlie Nelson if you are available weekdays to help us out.

Christmas Party: Some discussion was done concerning a committee, place, time etc. Further details will be disclosed at the Sept. meeting

New member Jim Memory was approved and added as a new member of the board of directors.
