- REVIEW OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING MINUTES
The minutes for the previous
meeting were reviewed by Debbie Lowe, Club Secretary and accepted.
- REVIEW OF TREASURER’S REPORT
The Treasurer’s report was reviewed by Debbie
Allen, Club Treasurer and accepted.
- OLD BUSINESS OR OPEN ISSUES
Proposal to remove the Chairman of the Board
position was made at last month’s meeting. Mike Chesser
explained the reasons the Chairman of the Board position was
created and why it’s not needed. Per the Club Bylaws, a Chairman
of the Board is not required. The Board has the ability to operate
without a Chairman. The proposal was voted on and passed. The
decision was made to drop the required members for the Board to 9.
The Club Christmas Party was held this past
Saturday, thank you to Debbie and Dan Allen for all the food
preparations. We have the "O" Club reserved at NAS for
next year’s Christmas party.
- NEW BUSINESS
The Club’s ASA membership is up for renewal.
Mike Shea asked for volunteers from club members to join ASA. The
Club needs 10 individual memberships which will be purchased up
front by the club. Currently, 8 memberships have been sold
already. The additional memberships needed were purchased by Club
members at this meeting. The Club saved $2,000 on Liability
insurance last year for being members of ASA. The ASA qualifier
that was held at our Club last year was a success. There will be
an ASA qualifier held at our Club this year. Also, requested an
ASA State Championship be held at our Club.
The ASA added two new targets this year. The
Club would like to purchase both targets. Mike Shea volunteered to
go to Pro Am tournament in March to pick up the targets. Motion
was made to purchase new ASA targets; motion voted on and passed.
The IBO Club membership will also be up for
renewal soon. Butch will be checking into that.
The NFA Field Shoot will be held on December
18th.
The upcoming Work Day that was scheduled for
December will not be needed.
Butch is currently working on completing the NFA
Calendar of Events for the upcoming year.
The 1st monthly Club shoot is coming up in
January-TBA. There are 9 scheduled monthly Club shoots for the
upcoming year.
New memberships continue to increase.
There is a high demand for Archery lessons.
There may be a need for additional volunteers for the upcoming
year.
At our annual Christmas party, NFA Shooters of
the year were recognized. Abby Williams was given her plague as
she was not present at the Christmas party.
Gene Parson was
recognized for NFA Archer of the year. Gene also obtained an ASA
Championship and ASA Archer of the year for this year.
NFA Annual Elections were held at this meeting.
